Firmware development services for devices that have to work in the field.
We write the embedded firmware that runs your device: connectivity, sensors, power management, bootloaders and over-the-air updates. Built in C/C++ on your board, tested on real units, and designed to talk cleanly to your app and cloud.

Firmware problems we're usually called in to solve.
The device drops its connection
BLE or Wi-Fi links that disconnect, fail to reconnect or pair only on some phones.
Battery life is far below target
Radios, sensors and sleep modes that were never tuned for real usage patterns.
Updates are risky or impossible
No safe bootloader, no signed images, no way back if an update fails in the field.
The prototype firmware won't scale
Demo code that works on the bench but has no structure, logging or test coverage for production.
What our firmware development covers

Real units every milestone
You ship us units or boards. Every milestone is verified on the device itself.
Connection stress tests
Range, interference, reconnection and phone-matrix tests for every radio we touch.
Update failure tests
We cut power and connection mid-update to prove the device always recovers.
Power profiling
Sleep, wake and radio duty cycles measured against your battery target.

Firmware development services: common questions.
Book a 20-min callHow much does firmware development cost?
It depends on the board, the radios and how updates must work. A full device with firmware, app and cloud starts from $30,000, and smaller firmware-only scopes are quoted after review. The Scoping Sprint fixes your exact price in writing.
Can you take over firmware someone else wrote?
Yes. We start with a review of the existing code and hardware, tell you what's safe to keep, and fix or rewrite only what needs it.
Which microcontrollers do you work with?
We work on your existing board, including Nordic nRF and ESP32 platforms. If you're still choosing a chip, we advise during the Sprint based on your radio, power and cost needs.
Do you design the circuit board?
No. We write the software that runs on it. Electronics design, manufacturing and certification stay with your hardware team or partner, and we work closely with them.
Who owns the firmware source code?
You do, from the first commit. Code lives in your repository, and an NDA is signed before we see your schematics.
How do you test without being in our lab?
You send us units or dev boards. We test on-device at every milestone and run joint test sessions over video when your team needs to see it.
